Best of Realty – The Best of Realty, a prestigious real estate competition, celebrates a quarter of a century of its existence this year. It is a unique platform for awarding and presenting the most important real estate projects in the Czech Republic. The gala evening, which took place on Tuesday 14 November at the Forum Karlín, was attended by leading personalities of the Czech real estate market. This year’s twenty-fifth anniversary edition of the competition confirmed the trend of growing quality of regional development and the best real estate projects from all corners of the Czech Republic are enjoying the win.
The nomination for the Best of Realty title in 2023 was open to buildings completed in the Czech Republic after 1 January 2022 in five main categories: residential projects, office centres, shopping centres, hotels and warehouse and industrial complexes. The urban and architectural design of the project, its contribution to the locality, the quality of implementation, commercial success and the sustainability aspect played a key role in the assessment of the nominated projects. The winners were selected by an eleven-member jury comprising experts from the Association for Real Estate Market Development (“ARTN”), banks, urban planners, architects, market analysts and real estate agents. In addition, the winners of the Special Jury Award, the winner of the ARTN Award for Contribution to the Real Estate Market, the winner of the Environmental Project of the Year category and another distinguished personality was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The highest rating in the Hotels category went to Hotel Thaya in Havraníky, which represents a modern concept of linking agricultural and food production with tourism. It is a combination of sensitive reconstruction of agricultural buildings and design new building with accommodation and catering facilities. In addition to its practical and functional concept, the jury also praised its attractive architecture and commercial success.
